Sunshine Boxfish – Anoplocapros inermis
Overview:
The Sunshine Boxfish is a small, vibrant marine fish with a bright yellow body and subtle patterning. Its unique box-shaped form and slow, graceful swimming make it a captivating addition to reef and community aquariums.
Origin:
Native to the Western Pacific Ocean, including Australian waters.
Feeding:
Omnivorous — thrives on a varied diet of mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, chopped seafood, marine algae, and high-quality marine flakes or pellets.
Tank Mates:
Best suited for peaceful reef and community tanks, avoiding very small or delicate fish that may be stressed.
Aggression:
Generally peaceful, relying on its spiny, boxy body for protection rather than aggression.
Experience Level:
Recommended for intermediate aquarists, due to its sensitivity to water quality and specialized care needs.
