Next, fit the LED light into the hood and install the heater inside the built-in filter compartment at the rear of the aquarium. The filter and heater should only be turned on once the tank is full of water, as both require water to operate safely. If you're adding substrate, gravel, plants, or decorations, place these in the aquarium before filling it.
