Corydoras Hastatus 2cm Catfish Overview: The Corydoras Hastatus, commonly known as the Dwarf Cory Catfish, is a diminutive and peaceful freshwater fish. Ideal for community aquariums, it grows to a maximum length of around 1.5 inches. These active bottom dwellers are known for their playful behavior and are excellent for adding movement to the lower levels of the tank. Origin: Native to South America, Corydoras Hastatus can be found in the slow-moving waters and flooded areas of Brazil, Argentina, and Paraguay. They are accustomed to soft, acidic water conditions in their natural habitat. Feeding: Dwarf Cory Catfish are omnivores and will accept a wide variety of foods. Their diet should include high-quality sinking pellets or tablets, along with frozen or live foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, or daphnia. Regular feeding of small amounts is preferred to maintain their health. Tank Mates: These Corydoras are peaceful and can be kept with a variety of other small, peaceful fish. Good tank mates include small tetras, rasboras, and other small catfish. They are schooling fish and prefer to be kept in groups of six or more for their social behavior to be observed. Aggression: The Corydoras Hastatus is known for its peaceful and non-aggressive nature. They rarely show aggression towards tank mates and are more likely to be intimidated by larger or more active fish. Experience Level: Suitable for beginners, the Dwarf Cory Catfish is hardy and easy to care for, making them an excellent choice for those new to fish keeping.
