Teardrop Butterfly Fish Chaetodon Unimaculatus Overview: The Teardrop Butterfly Fish is a striking marine species known for its vibrant yellow body and distinctive teardrop-shaped black mark below its eye. This species adds a splash of color and grace to any saltwater aquarium. Origin: Native to the Indo-Pacific region, the Teardrop Butterfly Fish is found in reef environments, where it navigates through corals and rocks, adding to the biodiversity of the reef ecosystem. Feeding: A diet for the Teardrop Butterfly Fish should include a variety of meaty foods such as marine fish, crustacean flesh, and mysis shrimp, supplemented with high-quality marine flake and pellet foods to ensure balanced nutrition. It’s essential to feed them small amounts several times a day. Tank Mates: Compatible with a wide range of peaceful to semi-aggressive fish, ideal tank mates include clownfish, damsels, and Wrasses. Avoid housing with large, aggressive species or those small enough to be considered prey. Aggression: The Teardrop Butterfly Fish is generally peaceful but may show territorial aggression towards other butterflyfish, especially in smaller tanks. Adequate space and hiding spots can minimize stress and aggression. Experience Level: Suited for intermediate to advanced aquarists, this species requires a well-maintained tank and stable water conditions to thrive. Not recommended for beginners due to its specific care needs. Water Parameters:
