Three Spot Head stander Pseudanos Trimaculatus 5cm Overview: The Three Spot Headstander, scientifically known as Pseudanos trimaculatus, is a striking and active freshwater fish revered for its unique behavior of resting on its head. Originating from South America, these fish boast a distinct appearance with three prominent spots along their bodies, making them an eye-catching addition to any aquarium. Origin: Found in the river basins of South America, particularly in the Amazon and Orinoco river systems, these fish thrive in tropical waters rich in vegetation and moderate currents. Feeding: Omnivorous by nature, Three Spot Headstanders readily accept a varied diet. They enjoy a mix of high-quality flakes, pellets, and live or frozen foods such as bloodworms, brine shrimp, and small insects. A diverse diet ensures their optimal health and vibrant colors. Tank Mates: Compatible with peaceful community fish of similar size, these headstanders thrive in groups of at least five individuals. Avoid pairing them with aggressive or territorial species, as their peaceful nature may make them susceptible to bullying. Aggression: Typically non-aggressive, Three Spot Headstanders exhibit minimal territorial behavior. However, ensure adequate hiding spots and space to reduce any potential conflicts among tank mates. Experience Level: Recommended for intermediate to experienced aquarists due to their specific dietary needs and preferences.
