Origin: Hailing from the Amazon, these Discus Cichlids are accustomed to the slow-flowing, warm waters of South America's extensive river system. Immerse yourself in the charm of the Amazonian rainforest as you recreate a piece of their natural habitat in your own aquarium. Feeding: Our Yellow and White Discus Cichlids thrive on a diverse diet to maintain their vibrant colors and optimal health. Treat them to a well-balanced mix of high-quality flakes, pellets, and occasional live or frozen foods such as brine shrimp or bloodworms. A nourished Discus is a happy Discus. Tank Mates: Creating a harmonious aquatic community is essential for the well-being of your Yellow and White Discus Cichlid. Opt for calm and non-aggressive tank mates such as tetras, rasboras, and other peaceful cichlid species. A tranquil environment will allow your Discus to showcase its stunning colors without unnecessary stress. Water Parameters: To mirror the Amazonian conditions, maintain a slightly acidic to neutral pH level ranging from 6.0 to 7.5. Keep the water temperature between 82°F to 88°F (28°C to 31°C) for these tropical beauties. A well-filtered tank with regular water changes will ensure a pristine habitat, fostering the optimal conditions for your Yellow and White Discus Cichlid to thrive.
