Yellow Tail Blenny Ecsenius Namiyei Overview: The Yellow Tail Blenny, Ecsenius namiyei, is a distinctive and lively addition to any marine aquarium. Known for its bright yellow tail and contrasting body, this fish adds a splash of color and personality. Typically reaching up to 4 inches in length, it's well-suited for small to medium-sized tanks. Origin: This species hails from the Western Pacific, primarily around the Philippines and Indonesia. It favors reef environments, where it can often be found hiding among rocks and corals. Feeding: The Yellow Tail Blenny is omnivorous, requiring a diet that includes both plant and animal matter. High-quality marine flake food, algae, and frozen or live foods like brine shrimp will keep them healthy and vibrant. Consistent feeding twice a day is recommended. Tank Mates: Ideal tank mates include peaceful to semi-aggressive fish that are not overly large or predatory. Good companions include clownfish, dottybacks, and other blennies. It's advisable to avoid housing them with aggressive species that may bully or harm them. Aggression: While generally peaceful, the Yellow Tail Blenny can exhibit territorial behavior, especially towards other bottom-dwellers. Providing plenty of hiding spots and space can help minimize aggression. Experience Level: Suited for intermediate to experienced aquarists. While not overly demanding, they do require stable water conditions and a well-maintained tank to thrive. Water Parameters:
