What is the AquaEl Ultra Slim BT LED?

The AquaEl Ultra Slim BT LED is a premium, WiFi-enabled LED lighting system that comes with five built-in lighting modes and a range of other, fantastic features. It’s available in three different models (30W, 60W or 90W) and comes with fittings for you to install it on the edges of your tank or suspended from your ceiling, making it the ideal lighting solution for large, rimless aquariums.

How do the AquaEl Ultra Slim BT LED’s five lighting modes differ?

The AquaEl Ultra Slim BT LED comes equipped with five unique lighting modes, making it suitable for use on a range of different aquariums – from reef tanks to planted tanks.

Sunny: basic mode, characterised by the strongest light. It is dedicated to lighting a freshwater aquarium during the day.

Daybreak: mode characterised by reduced light output, around 50% less than what Sunny mode offers. It works well as the first mode used after Night mode and when feeding fish, especially skittish species.

Night: an atmospheric blue glow that allows you observe the night life of your aquarium.

Marine: mode dedicated to marine tanks; also great for decorative aquariums with fish from Lake Malawi and Tanganyika.

Plant: mode designed for tanks typically full of plants; promotes lush and healthy growth even in demanding, Dutch-style planted tanks.

How does the AquaEl BT app work?

AquaEl BT is an easy-to-use and free-to-download app that allows you to create your own lighting schedules to suit your aquarium’s needs. It can also be used to program cycles that mimic natural lighting cycles, whether those be automatic (using the app’s Automatic Mode) or customised by you (using the app’s Fixed Mode). AquaEl BT allows to you connect any number of Ultra Slim BT lamps to just one mobile device.
