What are fish tanks?

Aquariums are designed to be much more durable, ensuring that leaks and breakages are rare. All tanks must also be placed on a specially designed cabinet that doubles as storage for hardware, food and other supplies. Unlike a standard bookcase, these cabinets are reinforced to take the weight of the large water volume on top of them. Therefore, your aquarium will be positioned safely for optimal display. Cabinets can be purchased separately, or part of a bundle depending on what stock is available.

What is the difference between a fish tank and an aquarium?

Fish tanks are designed mainly for holding fish, regulated for aquarium keepers to study and enjoy livestock. A tank is nothing more until you fill it up. Once a tank is holding fish, plants, decorations, substrates etc, an aquarium is made. Aquariums hold an underwater closed ecosystem, and can be planted, tropical, coldwater, or marine. The two phrases are interchangeable, but technically have their own definitions.

What are the main types of fish tanks?

Tropical tanks are heated tanks that provide a habitat suitable for tropical fish.
