This Fluval Poly-Max Cartridge is a replacement chemical filter pad designed for use with Fluval U Series Filters. It's made from fine filter floss and ion exchange resin. This composition helps control green water and unsightly algae growth by trapping and absorbing excess phosphates and nitrate in your aquarium.

You can choose from a range of Poly-Max Cartridges to suit your Fluval U Series Filter. We currently stock cartridges suitable for U3 and U4 Fluval Filters.

Are these Fluval Poly-Max Catridges easy to install?

Yes, these cartridges are very easy to install. Simply open the lid of your U Series Filter, remove the old cartridge, and insert the new cartridge. The lifespan of these cartridges varies depending on your aquarium and how many fish you keep. A cartridge is ready to be replaced once the filter media has started to break down and is no longer capable of effectively filtering your water.
