What is Nishikoi Clear Waters Green Water?

How does this treatment work?

Green water is the result of tiny algae cells thriving under warm sunny conditions. Algae cells will float and suspend in the pond - giving you unwanted murky green water. Nishikoi Clear Waters Green Water makes the algae cells sticky, forcing them to clump together across the water. Therefore, the particles are made large enough for your pond filter to grab out of suspension, or sink to the bottom of the pond. Removal can then easily be carried out by using a net or pond vacuum.  

When should I use this treatment?

You can use Nishikoi Clear Waters Green Water throughout the year, where the product remains effective down to a water temperature of 4 degrees Celsius. Results are quicker in temperatures above this.

How to use this treatment? 

Apply the necessary dosage based on the overall volume of your pond.

Dosage: 

In order for Clear Waters Green Water to work, the KH or carbonate hardness in the pond must be at least 6DH. 

Raising KH in the pond water can easily be adjusted with the use of Nishikoi Clear Waters KH Booster. Once the correct KH is assured, add 100ml of Clear Waters Green Water per 1,000 litres of pond water. Dilute the correct amount in a watering can or bucket and distribute evenly over the surface of the pond. 

Switch off ultraviolet clarifiers for one week after adding Clear Waters Green Water to the pond, and remove chemical filter media such as carbon and zeolite prior to treatment.
