The Pale Lip Tang is an elegant and peaceful marine herbivore, featuring a deep gray body, pale-colored lips, and yellow accents on the fins. Its graceful swimming and subtle coloration make it a striking addition to large reef aquariums.
Origin:
Native to the Indo-Pacific, commonly found on coral reefs and lagoons throughout the western and central Pacific regions.
Feeding:
Primarily herbivorous – thrives on marine algae, seaweed, and spirulina-based foods, supplemented occasionally with meaty foods like mysis shrimp to maintain health and vibrant coloration.

Best housed with peaceful to moderately semi-aggressive fish. Avoid very small or timid species to reduce stress and territorial conflicts.
Aggression:
Mildly territorial – may defend feeding or swimming areas, but generally compatible with other robust species in spacious aquariums.

Intermediate aquarists – requires a mature aquarium with ample swimming space, stable water conditions, and a proper herbivore diet.
