What is the Seachem Zip Bag?

The Seachem Zip Bag is a mesh bag for designed to hold biological filter media. It measures 32 x 14cm and is available in a choice of small or medium-sized mesh. It holds approx. 1L of filter media, and it comes with a convenient corrosion-proof zipper.

The medium-sized mesh varient is compatible with the following Seachem filter medias: PhosGuard, MatrixCarbon, SeaGel, De Nitrate, Renew, and Matrix. The small-sized mesh variant, on the other hand, is compatible with: PhosNet, PhosBond, PhosGuard, MatrixCarbon, SeaGel, Renew, and Zeolite.

How do I use the Seachem Zip Bag?

Simply place desired filtration material e.g. MatrixCarbon, PhosGuard, etc. and close using the corrosion-resistant zipper. For best results, Zip Bag and filtration media should be placed so as to maximize the flow of water through it.
