What is the Swell Heavy Duty Round Koi Net?

The Swell Heavy Duty Koi Net is our range of specially designed koi nets for handling Japanese Koi and other delicate fish. While not as long as a Koi sock, these nets can be used to catch and move Koi safely during pond maintenance, quarantine or veterinary treatments. Unlike some Koi Nets that feature a wooden handle, we have included a durable telescopic 3m pole with this net, so you can reach anywhere in your pond. This pole can also be combined with a range of nets in our heavy-duty pond net range. The nets come in two sizes, 60cm for small and medium-sized Koi and 80cm for large Koi.

Why do Koi need a different type of pond fish net?

Koi are extremely delicate pond fish and quite large so they need to be handled in a large and relatively soft net to avoid damaging their scales. Koi are likely to break standard pond fish nets or harm themselves.
