Using the VT Freezing Preventer, pond water is locally kept free from ice during a period of frost. This freezing preventer includes a Styrofoam floater with a synthetic air pipe.
Ideal for smaller or even larger ponds, this compact pond heater will keep a small portion of your pond frost free allowing oxygen into your pond and harmful toxins and gasses out. If the pond doesn't have an ice free area there is a high risk of your fish being poisoned or suffocating.

I must have not read the info on this properly because I thought I was buying a small, floating heater to keep a hole open if my pond ices over so I was disappointed to find it’s just a piece of weighted polystyrene with a hole and plastic straw in the centre. If that’s what you’re looking for though then it’s fine, sturdy enough and will probably do the trick. -
