What are Vitalis Cichlid Herbivore Flakes?

Vitalis’ Cichlid Herbivore Flakes deliver a palatable and highly digestible balanced feed. They provide herbivorous cichlids with a complete diet, promoting healthy growth and development.

These flakes are formulated for the lower protein requirements of herbivorous cichlid species from the African Rift Lakes Tanganyika and Malawi. They contain a nutrient-rich blend of algae and spirulina that has the added benefit of enhancing the colours of your fish.

All Vitalis’ flake foods are made large for greater feeding diversity. This lets you crush the flakes in your fingers to suit the size and number of fish in your aquarium.

How do I feed Vitalis Cichlid Herbivore Flakes?

Offer your fish a pinch of Vitalis Cichlid Herbivore Flakes once or twice a day, and only as much as they can eat in five minutes. Increase or decrease the size of your pinch depending on the number and size of fish in your aquarium. Always remove uneaten fish food to prevent it from breaking down and polluting your water column.

These pellets are specially formulated for the following cichlid species (and more): Tropheus and many Mbuna species - Labeotropheus, Labidochromis, Melanochromis, Metriaclima and Pseudotropheus Tropheus.
