What is a Zoo Med Pleco Banquet Block?

The Zoo Med Pleco Banquet Block is a time-release food block made especially for sucker mouth-type catfish. While the algae and wood fibre formula is a great supplemental food source for L-number Plecos, as it will wear mouth parts naturally, it also contains plenty of nutrition for most other types of freshwater fish. The block can also be used as a holiday or vacation feeder as it will last for a week or two before being fully eaten.

Is this banquet block right for my fish?

This block has been specifically formulated for bottom feeders and L-number Plecos. However, it can be fed to most fish. The block is best used in a tropical freshwater aquarium but can still be used in coldwater tanks. If you have a lot of Plecos you may want to add multiple pleco blocks to your tank at a time.

How do I use the banquet block?

To use the banquet block, simply remove it from the packaging and drop it into your tank. The block is designed to sink and will slowly make its way to the bottom of your aquarium. Once one or two weeks have passed, if the block hasn't been fully eaten, remove the block from your tank.
