Detailed Description
The Albino Haplochromis Cichlid is a rare and attractive variant of the popular Haplochromis cichlids found throughout Lake Victoria and nearby waterways. This fish displays a stunning albino coloration — pale white to soft pinkish tones, with bright red eyes and occasional golden highlights.
It brings a unique aesthetic to any African cichlid tank and stands out even in large groups. Like other Haplochromis species, albino variants are active and semi-aggressive, especially during territorial or breeding periods.
They thrive in aquariums that replicate their natural rocky habitats, with plenty of caves and hiding spots. These cichlids are best housed with similarly tempered African cichlids to reduce stress and promote a balanced community.
Feeding should include a variety of high-quality sinking cichlid pellets, color-enhancing flakes, and occasional frozen or live protein sources such as brine shrimp or bloodworms.
With its rare genetic trait and beautiful appearance, the Albino Haplochromis makes an excellent choice for collectors and African cichlid enthusiasts looking for something truly unique.
