Description:

The Apistogramma Baenschi is a visually stunning dwarf cichlid, admired for its vivid coloration and lively demeanor. Males are especially eye-catching, displaying an array of bright blues, reds, and yellows, while females stand out with bold yellow tones and expressive behavior.

Best suited to aquariums with soft, sandy substrates and plenty of natural hiding spots-such as driftwood, clay pots, and rockwork-this species does well in planted environments, provided there's also enough open space for swimming. Though generally peaceful, territorial behavior may increase during breeding periods.

Avoid housing them with delicate shrimp or tiny invertebrates, which may be seen as food. However, in larger tanks, sturdier shrimp and snails might coexist peacefully.

Apistogramma Baenschi is an undemanding eater, readily accepting a variety of high-quality dry, frozen, and live meaty foods. Maintaining a diverse diet will support vibrant coloration and long-term health.
