What does Strontium do for my aquarium?

Strontium supports the formation of hard coral skeletal tissue and significantly improves calcium absorption. It also supports the growth of soft corals. In a closed aquarium system, skimmer and filtration media removes strontium deposits from the water, therefore strontium supplementation is necessary.

To ensure that the aquarium conditions are as close as possible to the natural seawater, Aquaforest Microelements Strontium is enriched with the addition of barium, which is also present and significant in seawater. This formula effectively complements the strontium and barium deficiencies in aquarium water and guarantees the perfect ratio of these elements. The strontium level in your reef aquarium should vary between 5 ppm and 15 ppm.

Dosage: 1 drop per 100L of water daily. 1ml of Aquaforest Microelements Strontium in 100L of water raises the strontium level by 1.09 ppm.
