Description:

Blue Peacock Cichlid is a radiant variant of the Peacock Cichlid family from Lake Malawi. Known for its rich blue hues and shimmering scales, this fish is a favourite among aquarists seeking a visually impactful showpiece. Its streamlined, torpedo-shaped body and assertive presence make it a striking addition to any cichlid aquarium.

This species thrives in tanks of at least 300 litres, especially when provided with ample rockwork and hiding spots. Blue Peacocks generally coexist well with other Aulonocara species and may also be kept with compatible species such as Yellow Labs. That said, they can be territorial and aggressive toward smaller or less dominant fish, particularly in confined spaces.

Feeding:

Feeding the Blue Peacock Cichlid is straightforward. They will readily accept a varied diet of high-quality dry foods, frozen offerings, and live treats. Providing a diverse and balanced diet is essential for maintaining their vibrant coloration and overall health.
