Description:

Haplochromis Brownae is a vibrant and striking species of cichlid that adds bold character to any aquarium. Known for its energetic demeanor and distinct colour patterns, it showcases the classic bullet-shaped profile typical of the Cichlidae family.

These fish are naturally territorial and display fascinating behaviors, especially when establishing dominance or during breeding.

Tank Setup & Compatibility:

Best kept in a species-only aquarium of at least 66 gallons with plenty of rocks and hiding spots. While Haplochromis Brownae thrives with others of its kind, caution should be taken when mixing with smaller or more passive tank mates due to its aggressive tendencies.

Feeding:

An unfussy eater, this species enjoys a varied diet of high-quality dry foods, live prey such as brine shrimp or bloodworms, and frozen treats. Maintaining a diverse diet will enhance coloration and overall vitality.
