What are CaribSea South Seas Rocks?

CaribSea South Seas Rocks are natural base rocks designed for use in marine, reef, and hard water (African Cichlid) aquariums. They’re incredibly porous and have tons of surface area for hosting huge colonies of beneficial bacteria. They’re also highly textured and have lots of nooks and crannies for placing corals on/in.

What types of CaribSea South Seas Rocks are available?

CaribSea South Seas Rocks come in several different sizes and shapes. We currently stock two varieties of South Seas Rocks: CaribSea Base Rocks and CaribSea Ultimate Shelf Rocks. Both varieties come in bulk boxes weighing 18kg and containing multiple pieces of varying shapes and sizes.

CaribSea Base Rocks are ideal for nano reefs or as accent rocks in hardwater aquariums, e.g. African Cichlid aquariums. Ultimate Shelf Rocks, on the other hand, are flat rocks ideal for creating tiered reefscapes. Together, Base Rocks and Ultimate Shelf Rocks can create stunning, highly textured reefscapes.
