Description:

Haplochromis Chrysonotus is a vibrant and rare gem among Malawi African cichlids. With its streamlined shape and electric coloration, this fish adds movement and drama to any tank setup. It is known for its territorial and confident behavior, which makes it an exciting species for experienced aquarists.

Tank Setup & Compatibility:

Provide a minimum 66-gallon aquarium with plenty of rocks and hiding places to break line-of-sight and reduce aggression. Haplochromis Chrysonotus does well with other robust Haplochromis species but may harass smaller or timid tankmates.

Feeding:

Feeding this species is simple, as they are not picky eaters. Offer a varied diet of high-quality pellets, frozen foods like brine shrimp or bloodworms, and occasional live foods. A balanced diet enhances coloration and overall health.
