What is the Dyofix Pond Black Liquid?

The Dyofix Pond Black Liquid is used to prevent algae growth in smaller ponds and fountains as the Black Liquid will absorb and block daylight allowing no UV light to reach below the surface which means that the algae has no access to its food source.

Although it has this functional purpose, it is mainly used for aesthetic reasons as the dye will create a beautiful, black reflective appearance and will increase the reflective qualities of your pond which will allow you to have a gorgeous background for your plants

Plants that are above the water level will be unaffected by this but any that only have their leaves and flowers below the water will die so this is not recommended for those plants. Fish will also be unaffected but we recommend that you dont have any fish with this product as you will not be able to see them due to the dark colouration of the water

Why is algae bad for your pond?

Algae will reproduce at alarming rates when the resources are plentiful and they will consume a large portion of these resources which could lead to the death of your other pond life including your fish and plants

Dosage

• Pond Black Liquid: 10ml required per 35 litres of water

Fill a watering can half way and add the amount required for your pond. Stir the contents and when mixed make sure to apply to every part of the pond evenly

Be very careful when pouring to avoid splashes as to not get any dye on yourself or your surroundings as this this will stain
