KH, or carbonate hardness, is a measure of the concentrations of carbonates and bicarbonate ions dissolved in your marine aquariums water. KH buffers the pH of your water, helping to prevent fluctuations which may otherwise harm your fish, corals and other organisms.

KH levels naturally decrease over time, so it's incredibly important to monitor them and adjust them accordingly. For optimum coral growth, stick to the recommended levels. And if you notice a drop in KH, simply remedy this with a dose of Fauna Marin Elementals Kh.
