Description:

Fusco Haplochromis Cichlid is a striking species of African cichlid endemic to Lake Malawi. Known for its elegant shape and intense coloration, it adds dramatic visual impact to any aquarium. Its streamlined, torpedo-like body is paired with strong territorial instincts and a confident presence.

Tank Setup & Compatibility:

Best housed in a 66-gallon or larger tank with lots of rocks and crevices for territories. It’s important to provide hiding spots and space to reduce aggression. This species is best kept with other Haplochromis or similarly tempered cichlids, but should not be housed with much smaller fish.

Feeding:

Fusco Haplochromis Cichlid is not a picky eater. Offer a well-balanced diet of high-quality flake or pellet foods, as well as frozen or live foods such as brine shrimp, bloodworms, and daphnia. Variety is key to ensuring vibrant coloration and long-term health.
