Hikari Koi Gold Fish Food

The bigger your pond fish get, the more support they need. The Hikari Gold offers a premium high quality food that improves colours and supports growth rates. This is a carefully balanced nutrition, that is packed with vitamins and amino acids, the building blocks of life. This ensures fish are healthy, and full of energy.

This is a spring and summer feed primarily, and should be fed in temperatures of 15°C or above, in order to be properly digested. It is ideal for all Koi, and other larger bodied goldfish, where you'll see a noticeable difference in colouration and growth rates.

To feed, offer a small amount that can be consumed within a few minutes. If it is all gone within 1 - 2 minutes, add a small amount more, but avoid over feeding, and always remove any uneaten food after a few minutes, to prevent it breaking down and affecting water quality. For temperatures around 15 - 20°C, Hikari recommend feeding no more than twice daily, but if temperatures exceed this, this can be increased to 2 - 4 times a day, in peak summer.

This rounded pellet is a floating food, so you can quickly monitor fish whilst eating as well, and is available in a medium pellet (approx 5mm) and a larger pellet (approx 8-9mm).
