What are Oase AquaMax Eco Expert pumps?

Designed for use with large pond filters, waterfalls and water courses, Oase AquaMax Eco Expert pumps have market-leading flow rates of 21000-44000 lph. They have a compact design thanks to their extremely robust stainless steel housing. These filter pond pumps move up to 11 mm solids directly to the filter for removal rather than allowing them to break down in the pond.

Key Features:

  • Flow rates of 21,000-44,000lph
  • Stainless steel housing
  • 11 mm solids handling capacity
  • 5-year guarantee
  • Frost protection up to -20°C
  • Hose size 38-50 mm

Is the AquaMax Eco Expert range an energy-efficient pond pump?

Compatible with the AquaMax Eco Control, these pumps' built-in, patented Seasonal Flow Control reduces energy consumption by 30%. With an impressive 5-year guarantee and patented frost protection up to -20°C, the AquaMax Eco Expert pumps are the best eco, large-volume pond filter pumps on the market.

What are the benefits of solids-handling pumps?

The benefit of solids-handling pumps is that they are lower maintenance. Other pumps can quickly clog, but the AquaMax Eco can pass coarse debris and solid particles up to 11 mm through the pump and remove it to the filter, which keeps the pond cleaner and requires less cleaning of the pump.

What is dry installation?

Dry-mounted pumps are not submerged under the water surface. They give you extra space in your pond compared to a submersible pump and are useful in certain situations, such as gravity-fed filters often used in koi ponds. The AquaMax Eco can be easier to maintain as they can be easily accessed and don't have to be fished out of the water. These pumps can only be dry sited in a gravity situation.

What size pump do I need for my pond?

Designed to tackle the flow rate of larger ponds, the AquaMax Eco Expert will take up minimal space in your pond as well as reducing energy consumption with its Seasonal Flow Control feature. Garden ponds and waterfalls will require the use of a pond pump to circulate the pond water. The Aqaumax Eco Expert's pump flow rate will drop when you pump higher and further than the pond, so you need to consider these effects. You should aim to purchase a pump that meets the maximum flow rate of your filter at its height above pond level.

What fittings will I need to install this pump?

You'll need to consider how you'll get power to your pump. To comply with UK electrical legislation, pond appliances can't be supplied with a fitted plug, so you'll need to purchase one separately or wire it into an outdoor socket. A 10 m cable is provided, but these do not come with a fitted plug. You'll also need some ribbed anti-kink pond hose and hose clips to keep the hose firmly attached to the pump.
