Description:

The Haplochromis Orange Blotch Compressiceps is a striking Malawi African cichlid known for its vivid coloration and dynamic behavior. Like other members of the Cichlidae family, it has a sleek, bullet-shaped body and displays territorial instincts, making it an engaging centerpiece fish in a single species aquarium.

Tank Setup & Compatibility:

These fish thrive in spacious tanks of at least 66 gallons with ample rock formations to establish territories and hiding places. They coexist well with other Haplochromis species, but care should be taken to avoid smaller fish due to their aggressive tendencies.

Feeding:

An unfussy eater, this species accepts a variety of high-quality dry, frozen, and live foods. A varied diet is important to maintain its health and vibrant coloration.
