Description:

The Platinum Peacock Bass is an exceptionally rare morph of the Azul or Piquiti Peacock Bass, featuring breathtaking platinum-white colouration that sets it apart as a true showstopper. As with all Cichla species, this bass is a large, powerful predator that requires substantial space and experienced care.

These fish must be housed in very large aquariums, ideally with ample open swimming space and sturdy décor. While they can be kept in small groups with similarly sized cichlids, aggression and territorial behaviour may intensify with age, particularly in confined spaces. Their rarity and stunning appearance make them a prized centrepiece for the serious predator aquarium enthusiast.

Feeding:

The Platinum Peacock Bass is a carnivore and primarily consumes live prey. Feeder fish will be necessary during the acclimatisation period, although most individuals can be trained to accept frozen foods and high-quality carnivore pellets. A varied, high-protein diet is key to maintaining their health, energy, and vivid colouration.
