Description:

The Red Frontosa is a unique and visually stunning variant of the popular Frontosa cichlid, native to Lake Tanganyika in East Africa. Like its blue counterparts, it is known for its bold vertical striping, prominent nuchal hump in adult males, and graceful swimming style.

This variant displays a rare reddish hue, making it a standout addition to any show tank. These fish are best housed in large tanks with rocky decor, subdued lighting, and plenty of open swimming space. Although generally peaceful within their species, they can be territorial, especially during breeding.

Diet:

Omnivorous – A staple diet of high-quality flake or pellet food works well, supplemented with protein-rich treats such as freeze-dried or frozen krill, plankton, or brine shrimp. A varied diet supports vibrant coloration and long-term health.
