What is Sicce Shark Media?

The Sicce Shark Advanced media is replacement filtration media for the Sicce Shark Advanced Internal filter range. It includes an expandable modular cartridge, a kit of replacement foam and ceramic rings.

• Modular Cartridge - The expandable modular cartridge can be used with a wide range of the Sicce filter media.
• Replacement foams - Provides biological and mechanical filtration.
• Ceramic media - Increases decomposition of nitrate and nitrite and also increases the benefits to the good bacteria.

What are the benefits of this media?

The modular cartridge can be used with a range of the Sicce filtration media and provides easy cleaning and maintenance due to the unique and easy-to-use magnetic system that allows you to simply remove and add the cartridges at will.

The replacement foams have two different densities which provide complete and efficient mechanical and biological filtration, make sure to clean the sponges with the water from the aquarium every month or as needed and replace them when worn.

The ceramic medias provided are the Bio-Trix which increases the natural process of decomposition of the nitrate and nitrite in the aquarium, these are small ceramic triangles which are perfect for smaller spaces in your tank and the Bioker which is very porous and has a large surface area which is beneficial for the good bacteria which will allow it to more effectively break down fish waste and other organic debris in the tank which will keep the water clear and will prevent the ammonia and nitrite from accumulating.
