Description:

The Haplochromis Spilonotus is a striking Malawi African cichlid known for its vivid colors and lively behavior. It features the sleek, bullet-shaped body characteristic of the Cichlidae family. This active fish is often seen defending its territory or exploring the aquarium environment.

Tank Setup & Compatibility:

Best kept in species-specific aquariums of at least 66 gallons with ample rockwork to provide territories and hiding spaces. While Haplochromis Spilonotus can coexist with other Haplochromis species, it is aggressive toward smaller fish, so tank mates should be chosen carefully.

Feeding:

An adaptable eater, this fish accepts high-quality dry, frozen, and live foods. Providing a varied diet helps maintain its health and vibrant coloration.
