- Lush live Limnophila plant for freshwater aquariums
- Easy to grow with a high growth rate
- A range of sizes to choose from
Limnophila sessiliflora also known by its common name Ambulia is a pretty and undemanding plant from South-East Asia. A great alternative to Cabomba, which requires a lot of light. Stems grow fast up to 40 cm tall and become 3-4 cm wide. Available in either a grown on rooted plant, or as a smaller Mini Pot that is grown in a coconut fibre casing, which can be planted directly into the aquarium.
The plant often grows leggy in poor light, but this can be counteracted to some extent by stimulating growth with CO2 addition. Most beautiful when planted in groups. In good growing conditions, it sends out runners and spreads across the bottom. Cut-off shoots may be planted in the bottom layer, where they will soon form new roots and continue growing.
