What is the AquaEl Inline Flow Heater?
The AquaEl Inline Flow Heater is a Smart Heating System (SHS) equipped with smart power adjustment technology. No matter the size of your aquarium, this flow heater will adjust its heating power accordingly in order to optimise energy consumption. This helps you cut down on energy spend and create the ambient temperature conditions that your fish need to thrive.
Like other inline flow heaters, the AquaEl Inline Flow Heater is designed to mount onto an external filter, freeing up vital space inside your aquarium where a conventional heater would usually sit. This also ensures that heated waer is evenly distributed throughout your aquarium. As well as this, the AquaEl Inline Flow Heaters comes equipped with a range of quality features, including:
Key Features:
- Smart Heating System (SHS) adjusts the heating power to the size of the tank and the ambient conditions to optimise energy consumption
- High-precision, electronic thermostat – offers 0.5°C accuracy within the range of 20-33°C
- One touch system conveniently set temperature with a single button
- LED display intuitively shows the programmed and current temperature settings
- Heater switches off automatically in no flow conditions, preventing damage from overheating
- Three temperature sensors: two electronic sensors, one thermal fuse
- Compatible with 1.6-2.2cm hoses
- Suitable for freshwater and saltwater use
- Available in 300W or 500W model
How do I install the AquaEl Inline Flow Heater?
It can be a daunting task installing flow heaters, but the AquaEl Inline Flow Heater makes this process both quick and easy – provided you follow the following instructions.
The heater must be hung vertically; it should be hung on the inner wall of your aquarium cabinet. To do that, place the universal brackets (supplied with the heater) on the inlet and outlet pipes of the heater and screw the brackets to the wall.
The heater should be installed on aquarium hoses with forced water flow by cutting the outlet pipe of the external filter into two parts and connecting the two parts of the pipe to each side of the heater.
Make sure that the external heater is installed on the outlet side of the external filter (or the external pump). Also, make sure that the direction of water flow is consistent with the direction of the arrow found on the heating housing. DO NOT submerge the device in water or install it directly above the water’s surface.
Set temperature is signalled by constant LED operation. Use the button on the front panel to set the desired temperature. Each press of the button increases the set temperature by 1°C. A change of the set temperature is signalled by the lighting of the next LED.
