What is Fauna Marin Elementals Se?

Fauna Marin Se is a high purity stabilised selenium solution used for compensating selenium deficiencies in reef aquariums. The Elementals series is designed for use with regular ICP analyses to help keep your aquarium perfectly supplied.

Selenium can help to protect your corals from oxidative destruction, helping corals to take in essential nutrients and grow. Selenium also helps to calcify coral skeletons and aids reproduction, as well as being known to support the health of marine fish.

What are the benefits of Fauna Marin Elementals?

Trace elements are – in contrast to bulk elements such as calcium, magnesium or potassium – elements that are present in seawater in concentrations lower than 1 mg/l. These include, for example, copper, magnesium and carbonate hardness. These include, for example, copper, chromium, manganese or selenium, but also iron, iodine or zinc.

Trace elements can be present in many different substances and thus also enter the aquarium water; their deficiency, however, can cause significant problems despite their low necessary concentration in the water. An adequate supply of all important trace elements is therefore essential for a healthy reef aquarium.
