The Red Sea Reef-Frame 170 with Black Cabinet is a reef-ready aquarium system from Red Sea's REEF-FRAME range, the bare version for complete customisation. It combines a 174 L total system volume, made up of a 136 L display tank and a 39 L in-cabinet sump, with a full black cabinet, so you can choose your own lighting, circulation, filtration and control equipment.

What are the features of the Red Sea Reef-Frame 170?

The Reef-Frame 170 has ultra-clear glass that is eurobraced and bonded with euro-silicone. Enlarged, rectangular downflow pipes give quieter flow, and the ReefGate gate valve on the downflow pipe allows easy flow adjustment. The large central overflow box has a surface skimmer and removable comb sections, and it conceals the return piping. The marine-spec laminated plywood cabinet supports the full contour of the glass and has adjustable feet and stainless steel hinges.

What do I need to add to the Red Sea Reef-Frame 170?

The Reef-Frame 170 is the bare version, so lighting, water circulation (wave pumps), a main return pump, a protein skimmer, ReefMat and a controller are not included. The system is ATO ready, but the ATO module is not included. Its removable mechanical filtration compartment is ReefMat-ready and takes micron filter socks and media cups.
