What is a bio-mechanical filtration system?

A bio-mechanical filtration system is made up of sponge, bio-surface elements and Bio-Pure filter media, all designed to physically trap and break down the biological matter in your pond that clouds the water and makes it unhealthy for any fish. Replacement media is available here, and should be maintained regularly for optimum performance.

What are the benefits of a UV clarifier?

The most effective way to beat green water algae is to use a UV clarifier. Green pond water can spread quickly and deprive fish and plants of nutrients and oxygen. A UV clarifier treats your pond with concentrated UV light to break down clumps of murky water which is strained out by the filter. This helps keep the pond water crystal clear.
