What is Hobby Aqualon Filter Wool?

Hobby Aqualon Filter Wool is a super-fine mechanical filter media designed to remove tiny, microscopic particles from your water column. It is extremely versatile and can be added to almost any kind of filter, from small internal filters to large external filters.

Hobby Aqualon Filter Wool is available in four different sizes: 100g, 250g, 500g, and 1000g. It’s easily manipulated and can be cut to a size that suits your filter.

How do I use Hobby Aqualon Filter Wool?

This is a super-fine filter media made to remove the smallest floating particles from your aquarium. It works best when it’s placed on top of your other filter media, acting as the last line of defence against any tiny particles that may have made it through your filter.

You can also stuff this super-fine filter media into a small internal filter that’s solely used to polish your water and remove tiny, floating particulates after large water changes, maintenance sessions, or re-scapes. It maintains its effectiveness for roughly six weeks of use.
