Help and advice on shopping for: Marine
What are marine fish?
Any fish that lives in a saltwater environment falls under the umbrella term of ‘marine fish’. This includes everything from commercially prepared fish like Tuna to colourful ornamental fish like Angelfish, Clownfish, and Tangs. We have a variety of ornamental saltwater fish for sale on our website, as well as invertebrates and corals. When kept together in a marine aquarium, saltwater fish, invertebrates, and corals combine to create thriving reef ecosystems comparable to those found in nature, like in the Red Sea.
Can you buy marine fish online?
Yes, you can buy marine fish, as well as marine invertebrates and corals, right here on our website and have them delivered to your door within a matter of days! It has never been easier to build your dream reef tank, simply browse our huge selection of marine livestock, select your favourites, and hit the order button. You can also stock up on other reefkeeping essentials while you’re waiting for your livestock to arrive, like marine salt, marine additives, and marine fish food.
How do you set up a marine aquarium?
There are several important steps to consider when setting up a marine aquarium. Firstly, select a reef tank that’s large enough to house the saltwater fish, invertebrates, and corals you’re planning to keep. It’s a good idea to select a reef tank that comes with additional equipment like a sump, a protein skimmer, a pump, an LED light, and all the necessary pipework – this will make the set-up process a whole lot easier.
Secondly, decorate your reef tank with some marine substrate and marine rock. This will provide your saltwater fish with some hiding places, as well as ensure your water parameters (e.g. pH) remain stable. And lastly, fill your reef tank with pre-prepared saltwater and leave it for several days as you wait for it to cycle.
