What kinds of treatments and additives are there?

Which treatment do I need?
Match the product to your problem. A new tank needs filter bacteria to establish a cycle, tap water requires dechlorinator before every water change, and unstable pH calls for a buffer. Cloudy water or sick fish each have dedicated products too.
Not sure what's wrong? Try using a test kit first so you know exactly what to treat before dosing.
How do I use these treatments?
Always follow the dosing instructions on the bottle rather than estimating. These products are formulated to treat specific volumes of water, and adding too much can cause other problems. Retest your water after treating it, as most need a little time to take effect, and repeated overdosing can cause harm to your fish.
